Developer API
Keyword rank tracking reference
XenonFlare tracks Google SERP positions per keyword, locale, and device inside the web app. This page clarifies what is available for integrators today versus what ships only in the product UI.
SERP position charts per keyword — pair with Search Console queries via the GSC overlay example.
What works in the web app
- Track keywords per website property with locale and desktop/mobile device
- Manual rank checks and scheduled cadence (plan limits apply)
- Rank history charts and in-app / email alerts on position changes
- Correlation with crawl issues and Search Console queries in the dashboard
Product overview: Keyword rank tracker. Free keyword research (no rank history): Keyword ideas tool.
Plan limits (rank checks)
| Plan | Tracked keywords | Rank checks |

Portal API (session auth only)
The web app calls internal /portal/organizations/:orgId/keywords* routes while you are signed in. These are not part of the public Developer API and are unsuitable for server-to-server integrations without a user session.
GET /portal/organizations/{orgId}/keywordsSession cookies only — not available on api.xenonflare.com Bearer keys today.
Need query performance via API today?
For click and impression data (not the same as live SERP rank), connect Search Console in the app and use gsc:read on the Developer API:
Integrations roadmap
Public REST endpoints for keyword rank checks (keyword rank tracking api use cases) are on the product backlog. Until they ship, automate crawls and GSC exports via Developer API v1 and manage rank tracking in the web app.

Create an API key
Developer API keys cover crawls and GSC snapshots today. Rank tracking lives in the web app until public rank endpoints ship.
Developer API access requires Starter, Growth, or Agency. Free tier includes the web app and free marketing tools — not API keys.
